For years, Sara Seitz used her head to redirect airborne soccer balls. Now, she has the chance to use it to instruct younger players.
It is a harsh reality when a season ends, and for the Bobcats, reality couldn’t have hit much harder.
On Sunday, Ohio will find itself in the familiar underdog role it has played numerous times this season, going up against number-one seed Toledo in the opening game of the Mid-American Conference tournament.
With 18 games in the books, Ohio has one more game to determine its fate.
Every coach has benchmarks he or she strives for during a career. The first win. The first championship. A decade with a team.
The Bobcats came into the weekend looking for two wins; instead they came away with only one point and finished one place shy of first in the Mid-American Conference East Division.
Ten seniors will put on the Ohio jersey and take their final steps of the regular season at Chessa Field today.
Not only has Ohio’s coaching staff led the Bobcats to first place in the Mid-American Conference East Division, but the coaches also have directed one of Athens’ first competitive youth soccer clubs.
There are moments in a season when teams come together, and this weekend, the Bobcats united to notch another conference win.
