OU graduate student transforms chemotherapy education

Abel Jarrahi, a Scripps College of Communication graduate student has created a company called VR Medical Solutions for his project, "Chemotherapy Unveiled". It simulates a chemotherapy facility to ease the initial anxiety and confusion of chemotherapy treatments, helping patients feel more prepared. Jarrahi says his research confirms the effectiveness of virtual reality in medical education and addressing real-world challenges. Mill Fest 2025

OU dance students find sense of belonging in the 2025 Winter Dance Concert

Ohio University's Putnam School of Dance presented the 2025 Winter Dance Concert over the weekend. Dance students explain how this showcase is one of the bigger showcases they perform during the year, where guest choreographers and faculty choreograph the pieces. Hocking Hills Garment Center threads jobs, sustainability together

Athens native, Betsy Franjola, created the Hocking Hills Garment Center by repurposing an old church into a factory in Buchtel, Ohio. Franjola hopes to create meaningful jobs in the community, while also supplying local businesses with sustainable, quality clothing.
