Libby's Bouquet Bar on Union Street

Libby is a junior here at Ohio University. She owns Libby's Pumpkin Patch, but due to the drought in southeast Ohio, she was not able to open this year. Instead, she created Libby's Bouquet Bar, a flower cart she parks on Union Street. Her father says the cart has been very popular and people especially love making their own bouquets. The new and improved Athens Fire Department Headquarters, located near the Stimson Ave. roundabout is opening soon. The new station includes many public facilities, a boat launch into the river, a sculpture walk, a fitness area and much more. Richland Avenue Playground receives $20,000 for renovations

The Richland Avenue Playground received a $20,000 Changing Lives Grant from the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association Foundation to renovate the playground.
