Friendly Paws connects pets to loving homes

Hundreds gather to protest the removal of DEI programs at OU

Thursday, hundreds of students protested against OU’s lack of communication about Senate Bill 1 and President Donald Trump’s executive order to ban diversity, equity and inclusion programs at public institutions. According to the “Dear Colleagues Letter,” written by Trump and the Department of Education, they said universities need to stop treating people differently based on one’s race. Students responded and said certain groups of people already start at a disadvantage, so they need additional resources to mitigate the gap. West Union Street Construction

Road construction on West Union Street has been going on since this past summer and is set to be finished by December 2024. The purpose of this project is to improve safety conditions, intersections and accessibility. Although these improvements are necessary, they have had a significant impact on motorists and businesses on West Union Street.
