“I feel safe. I’ve only been here for two and a half weeks now, but there’s a lot of police cars driving around and it gives me a safe feeling.”
“Yeah I generally do. I don’t really have a lot of issues. Sometimes when I like walk home at night — I live on the West side so it’s sketchy sometimes — but other than that, it’s good.”
“Yeah I feel safe for the most part. Why? I don’t go to areas that aren’t really populated at night, so if something happens, I wouldn’t feel threatened or alone."
“I mean, it’s kind of a hard question to answer because I know, unfortunately, there are people who don’t feel safe on this campus. “Yes I do. I haven’t really seen any reason not to… the campus police do a pretty good job maintaining order. I haven’t really seen any crime here so far. You don’t really hear about much crime, so I feel pretty safe.”
“Yeah I do. I just think it’s not in the middle of a big city or anything. I just feel safe walking around, like I don’t feel threatened by anything. There hasn’t been a lot of issues here where they are concerned about dangerous stuff, so I definitely feel safe.”
“Yes I do. I’ve been out by myself at night before, and I’ve never had any problems. It’s better to have someone with you, but if you stay like towards the lighted paths, the busier parts, it’s a lot safer. But I’ve never felt creeped out or unsafe before, personally."
