Well-Being Wing in Ping now open to students

The new Well-Being Wing in Ping Recreation Center is now open to everyone on campus. This is a space to focus on relaxation and mental health with massage beds, art and music, and calming spaces. The director of the Well-Being Wing says he hopes to expand this to even more buildings on campus in the future. Libby's Bouquet Bar on Union Street

Libby is a junior here at Ohio University. She owns Libby's Pumpkin Patch, but due to the drought in southeast Ohio, she was not able to open this year. Instead, she created Libby's Bouquet Bar, a flower cart she parks on Union Street. Her father says the cart has been very popular and people especially love making their own bouquets. Athens Fire Department Headquarters set to open soon

The new and improved Athens Fire Department Headquarters, located near the Stimson Ave. roundabout is opening soon. The new station includes many public facilities, a boat launch into the river, a sculpture walk, a fitness area and much more. Athens Fire Chief, Bob Rymer, says this is a huge update from their current station on Columbus Rd. Athens' annual Walk to End Alzheimer's

This past Saturday at Eclipse Company store, the community gathered to generate awareness and raise money for the Alzheimer's Association. The Walk to End Alzheimer's fund raises money for research and care for those living with the disease. How the bars prep for hOUmecoming weekend

Homecoming weekend at Ohio University means the bars close at 2am and re-open at 5:30am Saturday morning. Richland Avenue Playground receives $20,000 for renovations

The Richland Avenue Playground received a $20,000 Changing Lives Grant from the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association Foundation to renovate the playground. The project will replace broken equipment and install accessible, inclusive equipment. The project is underway and set to be completed in the fall of 2024. Red Brick Tavern renovates to draw new crowds

Red Brick Tavern had a glow-up this summer, adding many new aspects to their space to increase the capacity.
