Saturday, February 15, the Athens County Humane Society fundraising committee hosted a Galantine's Day lunch to celebrate the women they work with and the impact they've made on the Athens community. All proceeds from the event benefited the Athens County Humane Society. The fundraising board says this is their first event like this and they were very pleased with the turnout. Sustainability efforts make OU the top 'Green Campus' in Ohio

The Princeton Review ranked Ohio University as Ohio's top Green School in 2025, due to the university's sustainability and environmental efforts. OU was the only school in Ohio to be ranked in the top 50 list of green universities.
