Football fans throughout the country might recognize Ohio football come 2012, as last year’s team appeared on the ESPN family of networks six times and, in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, drew its highest-rated television appearance since 2009.
Just like the football team dispatched Marshall last September, Ohio’s swimming and diving squad thundered past Marshall 154-78 as the Bobcats won their third dual meet in a row.
Entering the third week of Mid-American Conference basketball, the season has started to unravel in its usual fashion. Projected division leaders are striving for the top spot while overlooked teams are vying to prove their worth.
Ohio and Kent State will meet on the hardwood Wednesday night, but the teams also will be meeting at a crossroads.
