President Barack Obama visited my home state of Michigan last week to do something I haven’t seen him do in a while: sign into law a significant bill that wasn’t related to a self-inflicted crisis, like the budget impasse of 2013, and was passed by a Democratic-controlled Senate and a Republican-controlled House.

“When you see dat ass on campus, sneak a picture and snapchat it to us,” tweeted Bobcat Ass (@OUGotAss) early Monday morning. On a mission “to find the best ass on campus,” Bobcat Ass operates much like other unofficial Ohio University Twitter accounts such as @BoBcAtAsS, @BoobsAtOU and @OUBobcatBOOBS — you send a picture of a woman’s assets, preferably in OU gear, and the account managers post it anonymously.

Students deserved early notice of prof's arrest

As you might have read on today’s front page, students enrolled in courses taught by Amol Kharabe didn’t find out from the university until Wednesday afternoon their instructor would be taking a period of “paid administrative leave,” after being arrested Monday evening in his Dublin home on child pornography-related charges.

Complying with the court’s orders, Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly reported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail Tuesday morning to take a booking photo and submit his DNA and fingerprints, authorities said.
