Impact players for Ohio

The Bobcats will look to Week Two MAC Player of the Week, forward Sasha Dikotla. Dikotla currently leads the team in points and shot-on-goal percentage this season. The junior appeared in 16 games last season with 10 points, good for third-most on the team.

As for the defense, senior goalkeeper Macy Loetze has been tough to score on. Loetze currently sits second in the MAC in saves, second in save percentage and third in saves per game. The senior has been incredible for Ohio so far and has been pivotal in many of Ohio’s wins.

Impact players for Longwood

The Lancers host their second conference matchup Friday against Kent State. The team sits at 1-0 in conference play after a 2-1 overtime win against Central Michigan last Friday. Sophomore Luna Prieri and senior Zoe Tierney lead the Longwood offense.

These two have combined for seven of the Lancers’ last eight goals. Prieri leads the team with four goals and an assist. She had an exceptional week, scoring four goals in two games, including a hat-trick in Longwood’s 3-1 victory over Queens on Sep. 13. She currently stands at 9 points on the season, good for fifth in the MAC.

Tierney, the other offensive weapon for the Lancers, looks to continue her success in conference play when she scored the game-winning goal in overtime against Central Michigan. Similar to Prieri, the graduate student has a multi-goal game of her own, with two goals in their home opener against Davidson in week one. Tierney holds the clutch gene of the team and has two game-winning goals this season.
