Ohio’s season opener didn’t go the way it planned. Its 105-69 clobbering by Notre Dame was not what Ohio expected to happen, but it is ready to move on and wash away the pain. Now, its focus is on regrouping from its season-opening loss and preparing for the rest of its nonconference schedule.
The next stop on Ohio's schedule will require it to travel to Lynchburg, Virginia on Saturday for a game at Liberty.

Things to Know
Liberty started its season with an 89-40 win over Belmont Abbey. It overpowered the Division II school with its versatility at the rim. Liberty boasts a wide shooting range and has the ability to rebound. Freshman Emma Hess ended her first collegiate game with 22 points and three rebounds.
The Flames were picked to finish third in the ASUN Conference Preseason Coaches Poll. They made it to the ASUN Championship last season for the third consecutive season before falling 84-62 to Florida Gulf Coast. Berkman was also named to the ASUN Preseason All-Conference Team.
Series History
The two programs have only faced each other once before. Last season, the Bobcats defeated the Flames 76-72 in The Convo.
Ohio’s Erica Johnson had her best game of last season against Liberty. She scored 31 points and recorded 10 rebounds. But, the win was not a single-handed effort. Cece Hooks and Gabby Burris also made large impacts in the course of the game. Hooks ended the game with 18 points and Burris finished with eight points and seven rebounds.
Despite securing the win, it took the Bobcats a while to find their groove against the Flames. They didn’t make 3-pointer until midway through the second quarter.
