Here’s a timeline of Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro’s relationship

Recently, Grammy Award-winning singer Rosalía revealed on social media that she was engaged to fellow musician Rauw Alejandro after four years together, shocking fans all over the world. While they keep their relationship relatively private, the two have become an iconic couple in the music industry, dropping a new EP together, "RR," at the end of March.

With four years under the couple's belt, here's a timeline of Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro's relationship:

November 2019

In 2019, the two singers began messaging each other over Instagram DM, but they didn't officially meet until they both attended the Latin Grammys in Las Vegas in a hotel lounge. In a recent interview with Billboard, Alejandro said, "I was nervous, I'm not going to lie. Rosi came down and I saw her. I got even more nervous."

In the same interview, the duo admitted that their first-time interaction was "100% love at first sight."

Even though their relationship wasn't public, Alejandro collaborated with Rosalía on his first album, "Afrodisíaco," with the singer featured on the track "Dile a Él."

Sept. 24, 2021

The couple posted their first TikTok video via Rosalía's account after paparazzi photos of the two seen together were leaked. In the video, the two singers were sitting in a living room, making heart gestures with their arms to a viral sound at the time. Since its debut, the video has received over 100 million views.

Sept. 25, 2021

The next day after their viral TikTok, the couple made their relationship 'Instagram official' on Rosalía's 28th birthday. On her Instagram, the singer posted a photo of her arms around Alejandro, which said, "BlisssssSSSS, Libra, and blessed."

Meanwhile, on Alejandro's Instagram, the singer shared photos, which are now deleted, of Rosalía in the ocean, saying, "Even if the sun leaves, the day never ends with you. Happy birthday, bebe.”

Rosalía and Alejandro attended the Los40 Music Awards in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, as their first red-carpet appearance together as a couple. Walking down the carpet hand in hand, the couple also shared a cute moment when Rosalía presented her boyfriend with the "Best International Latin Urban Artist" award, giving him a kiss on stage. In his acceptance speech, Alejandro thanked "his beautiful girlfriend" for being his muse.

March 18, 2022

Rosalia's third studio album, "MOTOMAMI" drops with Alejandro as a co-writer on "Chicken Teriyaki."

May 2022

During a panel at Billboard's MusicCon, Alejandro mentioned working with Rosalía again in the future. He said, "For sure, we have a few (things planned) in the studio already. It's a surprise. Those songs are (under) extra security. We're planning to do the release — I'm not going to say when, but soon. We're doing it for the love of the fans and she's my girl and I did those songs with more love. No. 1 for sure."

June 2022

After both singers had busy years with the successes that came from their music, they traveled to Greece in June. During their trip, many fans speculated that Alejandro was planning to propose to the singer after being seen on Instagram eating frozen yogurt, riding bikes and going on a boat ride together. Rosalía posted a blurry photo of herself holding a shot glass with a bright diamond on her ring finger, sparking even more engagement rumors.

November 2022

The couple attended the 2022 Latin Grammys in Las Vegas again, walking the red carpet together. After winning "Album of the Year" for "MOTOMAMI," Rosalía said, "Many, many, many thanks. "MOTOMAMI" is the album that I've [most] had to fight for, that's been hardest to do, but I kept going. Thanks for always supporting my music, because my music is always changing. Thank you to the love of my life. Baby, I love you."

March 2023

After years of speculation, the couple finally announced their first EP, "RR," and their engagement to Billboard. In one of their songs, "Beso," the couple arranged clips of them together in a music video for the track, in which Rosalía showed off her engagement ring.
