New Tune Friday: More about Taylor's single, Frank Ocean ends Blonded Radio.

This past week had a lot of new releases, some good, others bad. But you know, new tunes per usual.

It’d be crass to not start off with Taylor Swift. Opinions aside, she hyped up her upcoming album, Reputation, with a social media blackout followed up by a cryptic video of a snake, alluding to her reputation for being a snake. “Look What You Made Me Do” is arguably just the 2017 remix of “I’m Too Sexy,” but alas, Taylor came out and called out all of her critics in her latest single. It’s something worth screaming along with when it comes on the radio.

Frank Ocean continues to grace us with his music. Since Blonde, Frank has dropped a slew of singles on his Beats 1 segment, Blonded Radio. Frank finished Blonded Radio with his new song "Provider." The mellow mood that Ocean exudes on this track is accompanied by back vocals and smooth beat. It’s good, because Frank Ocean just can’t make bad music.

Maroon 5 (or Adam Levine and company) released a duo with SZA. “What Lovers Do” will probably played at every party you go to this year. So at least figure some awkward dance you can do to it while you wait for the song to end; maybe just dance outside and come back in when it ends, I would suggest doing that rather than actually listening to it. The song offers no substance other than just being, you know, alright.
