Wrestling: Ohio looks to improve to 2–0 at home against Michigan State

With wrestling season just underway, Ohio (1-0) is set to host Michigan State (1-0) in its home opener Sunday at the Convo.

Michigan State started its season on the right foot at American University, winning 20-12. Ohio and Michigan State actually did face each other Nov. 9 for the Michigan State Open, where the Bobcats competed in both the open and the freshman and sophomore divisions.

The final result was Ohio placing six wrestlers, two of which had overall victories. Those two individual champions were redshirt freshman Jeremy Olszko in the freshman-sophomore 174-pound class and redshirt junior Peyten Kellar in the open 157-pound division.

The other four placers for Ohio were redshirt senior Jordan Greer, who finished second in the 285-pound class, redshirt junior Garrett Thompson, who finished second in the 174-pound division and freshmen Evan Wingrove and Wyatt Schmitt, who both got fourth in the 197-pound and 285-pound classes.
