After 11 innings of baseball, Marshall needed just two batters to beat Ohio for the second time this season.
Ohio pitcher Chace Harris walked the first batter he faced then advanced him to second base on a wild pitch. With a runner in scoring position, all Tucker Linder needed was a single to give Marshall a 4-3 win.
He got it.
Ohio (10-24, 5-7 MAC) lost its second straight midweek game despite two solid starts from Joe Rock. The left-hander gave up only four hits and one run in five innings and rivaled his quality start against Ohio State last week.
The bats were not there to support Rock, though. The Bobcats mustered one hit and two baserunners while he was on the mound.
That hit came from Michael Richardson, who was the only Ohio player with two hits. Aaron Levy was the other offensive power for the Bobcats and brought in all three runs, two of which came on an RBI single in the sixth inning, and the other came when he took a walk with the bases loaded in the eighth.
Other than Richardson and Levy, the Bobcats were disappointing. Rudy Rott, Ohio’s top hitter, went 0-for-4 at the plate, and there were no hits from the bottom four batters in the lineup.
The Bobcats suffered their seventh straight road loss and haven’t won a road game since March 8th against Dayton. Ohio is a measly 3-15 away from Bob Wren Stadium, a record that is unsustainable for any team, regardless of how talented it may be.

Ohio will look to end the road losing streak when they travel to Eastern Michigan for a three-game series. The Bobcats should be able to bounce back as the Eagles are 8-28-1 this season.
