Freshman forward A.J. Gareri will transfer from the Ohio men's basketball team to play somewhere else, the athletic department confirmed Thursday.
Gareri, a 6-foot-9 Akron native, played in just 10 games for the Bobcats this past season, averaging 0.9 points and 0.7 rebounds per game.
He was forced out of the latter part of conference play this season after undergoing shoulder surgery.
He now joins Zach Butler and Ellis Dozier as players who have transferred away from Saul Phillips' program since season's end.
With Gareri's departure, the Bobcats now have two scholarships available for next year.
