The Athens City-County Health Department reported four new COVID-19 deaths Monday, with the current total of reported deaths sitting at 116.
The deaths come as the county experiences 1,085 known active cases of the coronavirus. According to a tweet from the health department on Tuesday, 20 of those cases were new.
Presently, 34,618 people, who make up 52.99% of the county, have started the vaccination process. 49.39% of the county, or 32,268 people, have completed the vaccination process. So far, 16,692 people have received additional doses.
