Nickolaus D. Russell will appear in Athens County Municipal Court early this week.
After being arrested for allegedly making a terroristic threat, Ohio University student Nickolaus D. Russell is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Monday at 2 p.m., at the Athens County Municipal Court, according to court documents.
Russell was charged with making a terroristic threat, which is a third-degree felony with a maximum penalty of three years in prison, as well as drug abuse according to court documents.
Russell is being charged with a fifth-degree felony for his drug abuse charge, which comes with a maximum of 12 months in prison, according to the Ohio Revised Code.
Russell was arrested after allegedly making an anonymous post on social media that said he was going to “kill a cop,” according to a previous Post report. OUPD removed him from his residence in Boyd Hall on Oct. 16.

According to court documents, Russell was also arraigned Oct. 19. Judge William Grim ordered Russell to stay off of OU property, but added that Russell could retrieve personal items from his dorm if he was accompanied by an OUPD officer.
Russell’s bond was set at $15,000, according to court documents.
