Ohio will host Buffalo inside The Convo this week for a rare Monday game to make up for a previously postponed contest.
The Bobcats were originally supposed to play Buffalo on Jan. 12, but the game was canceled due to COVID-19 protocols. The game will be a quick turnaround for Ohio after its win Saturday over Bowling Green.
Buffalo is currently second in the Mid-American Conference standings. It sits behind Toledo, who it lost to Saturday. The loss was Buffalo’s first defeat by a MAC opponent this season.

Match history
There’s a long history between the Bulls and Bobcats, and the Bulls lead the all-time series 25-20. The last time the two programs met was Jan. 20, 2021, when Ohio scraped by with a 84-81 win in its largest comeback of that season. However, the two only faced off once last season due to COVID-19.
The home-court advantage will be big for Ohio on Monday. Buffalo is 11-12 in The Convo and does not fare well on road games. The energy from Ohio may be enough to knock down Buffalo.
Player to Watch
Fair — Cece Hooks and Fair are separated by a fraction of a percent for the best scoring average in the MAC. The two shared a spot on the Preseason All-MAC Team ahead of this season. Fair brings strong all-around gameplay to the table and does not shy away from the ball. It will be a challenge for the Bobcats to guard her.
