Wednesday afternoon, the Mid-American Conference released its 2024-25 preseason poll and rankings.
The Bobcats ranked fourth in the preseason poll, accruing 91.5 points, 14.5 points behind top-seeded Central Michigan. Lock Haven and George Mason also rank ahead of Ohio.
Ohio also found high rankings in many of the individual weight class rankings. Reigning All-American Peyten Keller is atop the 157-pound class rankings as he looks to repeat as MAC Champion and improve on his fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championship.
Redshirt senior Jordan Greer placed second on the 285 lbs rankings after qualifying for his first NCAA Championship. Kaden Jett and Derek Raike ranked sixth in the 141-pound and 147-pound weight classes, respectively.
Rounding off the rankings, TJ England and Max Ray were ranked eighth in the 133-pound and 184-pound weight classes. Both wrestlers will look to make a statement this season and improve their stock.
