Both Ohio and Kent State were faced with a competition void after their respective games on Jan. 12 were postponed, however that is no longer the case. The Mid-American Conference announced on Monday that Ohio’s game against Kent State on Jan. 19 would be moved up by a week.
Ohio (6-4, 0-1 MAC) is coming off a 71-68 loss against Northern Illinois. MAC assist leader Erica Johnson was missing from Ohio’s conference opener due to COVID-19 protocols. Ohio will look to change the course of its season against Kent State (9-4, 1-3 MAC).

Blackford — Her keen rebounding will be crucial to Kent State against Ohio’s dismal defensive rebounding. Blackford can help Kent State create more scoring opportunities by picking up where Ohio leaves off. If Ohio leaves space open for Blackford, she will cause problems on Wednesday.
