Junior guard Kiyanna Black was named Mid-American Conference East Player of the Week Monday following her 31-point performance against Akron on Feb. 21.
Black went 10 for 24 from the field and added an assist, a block and two steals. Her performance aided Ohio (21-4, 12-2 MAC) to its 21st win of the season.
On Feb. 18, Black scored 12 points and two rebounds in Ohio's 73-61 loss to Eastern Michigan.
This season, Black leads the Bobcats with 15.7 points and has been named MAC Player of the Week twice.
