A fire broke out at Wednesday night’s Mid-American Conference football game, with Athens Fire Department responding to combat the fire while Ohio University played Eastern Michigan University.
According to a report obtained by The Post, a heater in the ticket booth burned up inside the structure.
First responders arrived on the scene at 9:31 pm after a call from the on-duty fire department patrol at Peden Stadium who were investigating a fire alarm that was set off at 9:26 pm.
According to the report, smoke was showing and pushing out of the booth in eaves after they opened the roof.
The Plains and Richland Area Fire Departments also arrived on the scene to provide aid, according to the report.
No further extension was discovered and personnel cleared the scene around 10:30 pm.
