Former President Donald Trump escorted out after apparent gunfire at PA rally

Former President Donald Trump was rushed off the campaign stage in Butler, Pennsylvania, after apparent gunfire at a rally, according to the Associated Press.

Trump’s campaign said he was fine and is being treated at a nearby medical facility, according to the AP. 

The republican nominee was detailing the number of border crossings at the time of the alleged gunfire, and he appeared to be bleeding near the neck, according to the AP. 

According to the AP, the suspected gunman and at least one attendee are dead. Shortly after Trump left the stage, police began vacating the fairgrounds where the rally was being held with local officers calling it a crime scene.

This was Trump’s last rally before the Republican National Convention, which opens Monday, according to the AP.

Although Trump’s condition was not immediately known according to the AP, he was seen pumping his fist into the air before being escorted to his motorcade by protective detail.
