A 22-year-old man was stabbed and later found laying on an East State Street yard early Sunday morning.
Kyle Unsdorfer of Medina, Ohio, suffered a small laceration and puncture wound to his lower abdomen after being stabbed by an unknown person around the corner from where he was found at 50 E. State St., according to a release from Athens Police.
Police were alerted of the incident just after 1 a.m. Sunday.
Officers rendered first aid on the victim, who was later transported to O’Bleness Hospital. Unsdorfer was unable to describe the person who stabbed him, and was also unable to describe where the assault occurred.
Unsdorfer is not an Ohio University student, according to the university’s online directory.
The stabbing remains under investigation by APD, and anyone with information is advised to call the department at 740.592.3313
