Live Notebook: Ohio vs. Eastern Michigan

  Follow along for live scoring updates as Ohio (4-2, 1-1) plays at Eastern Michigan (1-5, 0-0) today at 1:00. The Bobcats enter the contest on a losing note, ending their four-game winning streak after falling to Central Michigan last weekend. The Eagles are losers of five games in a row and still seek their first Mid-American Conference win.

FIRST QUARTER

 

*EMU's Tyler Allen returns the opening kickoff 90 yards as the Eagles take the early 7-0 lead.

*Ohio evens the score at 7 apeice as redshirt senior quarterback Tyler Tettleton finds redshirt senior wide receiver Mario Dovell for a 14-yard touchdown.

*The Bobcats score again as Tettleton finds redshirt senior wide receiver Matt Waters to take a 14-7 lead with a four-yard touchdown pass.

*Ohio redshirt senior cornerback Travis Carrie returns EMU"s punt for 79 yards, which set up a nine-yard touchdown run by redshirt senior Beau Blankenship. Ohio leads the Eagles 21-7 with 4:34 remaining in the first quarter.

At the end of the first quarter Ohio leads 21-7.

 

SECOND QUARTER

*EMU quarterback redshirt junior Tyler Benz finds sophomore wide receiver Dustin Creel as Ohio now leads 21-14.

At the end of the second quarter Ohio leads 21-14.

THIRD QUARTER

Eagles junior tight end Tyreese Russell after a 62 yard catch and run to tie the score at 21 all.

*After Bobcats cornerback Devin Bass picks off Benz in the endzone, Tettleton finds Ohio redshirt junior Chase Cochran for a 80-yard catch and run as Ohio now leads 28-21 with 4:58 remaining in the third quarter.

*Tettleton finds Ohio redshirt senior wide receiver Donte Foster for a 3-yard catch. Ohio now leads Eastern Michigan 35-21 with 2:02 remaining in the third quarter.

* Ohio redshirt senior Beau Blankenship with a 22-yard run for his second touchdown as Ohio leads 42-21 with 19 seconds remaining in the third quarter.

*Eastern Michigan junior running back Bronson Hill runs the ball 11 yards for a touchdown as Ohio now leads 42-27.

*Ohio pads their lead to 21 points as redshirt senior Ryan Boykin carries the ball for a five-yard touchdown. Ohio leads 49- 28 with 10:40 in the contest.
