7 songs to play while sipping on pina coladas

If you’re sitting on a beach somewhere, your choice of drink might include pineapple, ice and rum. For those of you stuck at home, the beach can come to you on Monday because it is National Pina Colada Day. So even if you can’t go to the beach, escape for a little while and get caught in the rain listening to these songs.

“It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere” by Alan Jackson featuring Jimmy Buffett — If you need to justify a little day drinking, just remember it’s happy hour somewhere in the world.

“Two Pina Coladas” by Garth Brooks — Do what Garth did in this song — double fist some pina coladas. Buy or make one for each hand and enjoy some rest and relaxation.

“Toes” by the Zac Brown Band — This song is perfect for chilling by the beach. The lyrics say to put your toes in the water and your butt in lawn chair. But if you’re not by a beach, a kiddy pool will suffice.

“Why Don’t We Get Drunk” by Jimmy Buffett — You can never go wrong when it comes to Jimmy Buffet. Any of his songs are perfect for drinking pina coladas. Though this song is probably not suitable for young ears, adults grab your significant others and listen to it with them.

“Knee Deep” by the Zac Brown Band featuring Jimmy Buffett — Another Zac Brown Band song, but this one has the addition of Buffett, who is the king of beach music.

“No Shoes, No Shirts, No Problems” by Kenny Chesney — Kenny is another artist who appreciates Buffett, and it shows in his music. This one definitely has a beachy vibe and will have you feeling mellow.

“Escape (The Pina Colada Song)” by Rupert Holmes — This playlist would not be complete if it didn’t include this classic. If you haven’t heard this song before, pay close attention to the lyrics — it tells quite a funny story.
