Wednesday, the national early signing period opened, allowing high school student-athletes to sign their national letters of intent before the regular signing period. Across Ohio’s many teams, several key commitments were announced.
Men’s basketball announced three commitments. Jordan Fisher, a 6-foot-5 forward from Pickerington; JJ Kelly, a 6-foot-6 guard from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and Zay Mosley, a 6-foot-7 forward from Winter Haven, Florida.
Baseball added nine commitments, four from Ohio and three from out of state. Ohio signed Colton Landtiser from Pickerington, Noah Ernst from Wellston, Andrew Endres from Hilliard, Daniel Briggs from Dublin and Evan Lichtenauer from Newark for the in-state commits. The three out-of-state commits are Wesley Cupps from Lawrence, Kansas; Sean Fox from Rochester Hills, Michigan; Connor Gibour from Crystal Lake, Illinois, and Mason Gass from Oakdale, Pennsylvania.
Softball added six players, three from Ohio and three from Pennsylvania. From Ohio, the team added Cora Hall from Newark, Sena Smith from East Liverpool and Anaya Bumpus from Columbus. From Pennsylvania, the commits are Ava Henke from McDonald, Pyper Ferres from New Kensington and Allie Cervola from Hunker.
Swimming and diving added six, four from outside of Ohio. Those four include Reese Benton from Dunwoody, Georgia; Juliette Daigneault from Scottsdale, Arizona; Emma Schwertfeger from Fishers, Indiana, and Katie Forbes from Littleton, Colorado. Ohio’s in-state commits are Lily Baumgartner from Ada and Katrina Kollin from Dublin.
