Here’s what’s going on this fall at OU

There is nothing like fall on campus at Ohio University. Walking to class with the leaves falling, the perfect weather and of course ... the fun events! There is so much going on this semester at OU, but here are some of the biggest events to keep an eye out for.

The Hill Has Eyes Paranormal Psychic Fair

Athens is one of the most haunted places in Ohio, and Sept. 23, you can catch a paranormal psychic fair at The Ridges. This includes walking tours of the grounds led by the Ohio Ghost Hunters and over 45 vendors including all things spiritual such as healers, palmists, psychics and crystals.

Homecoming

Another strong activity, Homecoming, is Oct. 2-7. This will be a week-long celebration of the Bobcat family. There will be a lot to look forward to this week such as the “Yell Like Hell Pep Rally,” Food Truck Friday and, of course, the homecoming football game against Kent State University.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

The Lost Flamingo Theatre Company, OU’s original student-run theater group, is hosting its annual Halloween tradition. You can catch “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” Oct. 19-21 at The Union, 18 W. Union St. This is a Fall Semester activity you can’t miss.

Halloween

Since 1974, we have celebrated at the annual Athens Halloween Block Party. We all know OU is known for its Halloween celebration, so let's get dressed up in our spookiest costumes and have some safe and good-hearted fun.

Ohio vs. Miami football game

The highly anticipated “Battle of the Bricks" game will be at Peden Stadium Oct. 28. Bobcats, let's all show our support and school spirit for this rivalry game.

Dad's Weekend

Show your dad what Athens is all about Nov. 3-5! There will be a wide range of activities to do with your father figure this Dad's Weekend. Last year included a day hike, a golf match and Dad-approved movies at the Athena.
