A look at the weekend:
A few weak Clipper systems will make their way through the region Friday and Saturday. Since highs will be near 50 on Friday, the precipitation should stay as rain throughout the day. A cold front associated with the system on Saturday will drop highs into the upper 30s and lows in the teens, so the precipitation with that system could switch to light snow into the evening hours. High pressure will build back in Sunday, with highs around freezing and lows into the teens.
Coming up next week:
Next week, the high pressure will continue for most of the week, bringing dry and calm conditions. There will also be a warm up, with highs midweek in the 50s and lows around freezing. The next chance for precipitation comes late next week, likely only in the form of rain, although this system is still developing.
