The Post’s list of employees who have garnered summer internships, permanent jobs or study-abroad placement is 35-strong — and growing.
Every summer, Post employees scatter from the friendly confines of Athens to begin internships with news organizations and media properties, studying abroad and starting full-time employment.
This week, with the academic year waning, I’d like to give you a rundown of what Posties will be up to after the conclusion of the academic year.

Our list of employees who have garnered internships, jobs or study-abroad placement is 35-strong — and growing. Posties will be represented in newsrooms and other organizations across the country.
- For the second year in a row, a Postie will spend the summer working for the New York Times.
- Two are headed to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, which has won three Pulitzer Prizes since 2008.
- Four will be represented at the Columbus Dispatch, which is regular destination for Posties.
- One apiece will be employed by the Arizona Republic, Seattle Times, (New Jersey) Star-Ledger, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and Palm Beach Post.
- Another will be interning for The Street, a business news website, having been placed there as part of the prestigious Dow Jones News Fund program.
Four of our graduating seniors have also secured long-term employment — with the Northeast Ohio Media Group; Casper Star-Tribune, Xcelerate Media in Dublin, Ohio and RedEye, the Chicago Tribune’s alternative tabloid.
Five of our photographers will be studying photojournalism at the Scotland Field School in Visual Communication, as well, and one will be working on a personal photo essay while traveling in India.

Such a strong showing is a testament to Posties’ ambition and undergraduate accomplishments, and it’s my hope that you have enjoyed their contributions to The Post as much as I have.
As always, thanks for reading.
