Ohio University sent cease and desist orders to Sigma Kappa sorority and Phi Gamma Delta fraternity after receiving reports of the organizations compromising the “health and safety of their respective members and the Athens community.”
The details of the allegations will not be publicly disclosed to “protect the integrity” of the university’s investigation, according to a university news release.
The university notified both organizations’ headquarters, and they received notification of an investigation by the university.
Individuals found to be in violation of the student code of conduct could be subject to both criminal and university judicial proceedings.
