Following Bonnie (Liza Weil)’s discovery that the DA was potentially innocent, everyone sought answers as to who really killed Nate (Billy Brown)’s father. The Keating 4 struggled to deal with the news, with Laurel (Karla Souza) being especially distraught because her baby witnessed the murder. Asher (Matt McGorry) also discovered Bonnie was the one who killed the DA, not Nate.
Nate continued to believe the DA killed his father, but started to have his doubts. He attempted to ask a juror who sat on the trial, but ended up getting caught and interviewed by the police. Annalise (Viola Davis) worked to organize the group, but Tegan (Amirah Vann) saw through the ploy and also became suspicious of the Keating 4.
At the end of the episode, Nate learned that his father’s DNA had been tampered with and someone framed the murder to look like a suicide. Also, the police said they had a person in custody, who ended up being Gabriel (Rome Flynn). With tensions running high, audiences will wonder if this is what will finally take down the Keating 4 and Annalise.
