Today is Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018. Here’s what you need to know:
Good morning,
A new Athens Twitter account is causing quite a ruckus on social media.
Over the past few days, the account @new_uptown has teased the opening of a new restaurant in Athens. Here’s everything we know so far:
1. It will be located on Court Street.
2. It will open in mid-October.
3. An official announcement will be made sometime in the next three weeks.
4. It will not serve pizza.
It’s unknown whether the new restaurant will be independently owned or a new chain location. To be honest, we’re just happy it’s not another pizza restaurant. It’s not that we don’t like pizza, it’s just that there’s already six pizza places uptown.
