Arrest warrant
Deputies from the Athens County Sheriff’s Office arrested a subject with multiple warrants Dec. 8.
Deputies were on patrol in The Plains when they identified the subject and the man was transported to the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail, according to the Athens County Sheriff’s Office.
Highway robbery
Deputies from the Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to state Route 682 regarding a theft Dec 8.
A report was taken and the case is under further review, according to the Athens County Sheriff’s Office.
Monday, Dec. 9
Felony warrant
Deputies from the Athens County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man with a felony arrest warrant Monday.
The warrant was issued by Warren County for aggravated robbery, kidnapping and multiple weapon charges, according to the Athens County Sheriff’s Office. The man was transported to the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail and will remain there until transported to Warren County, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Oh, deer…
Deputies from the Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from Elliotsville Road in Athens in regards to an injured deer Monday.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered the deer was dead, according to the Athens County Sheriff’s Department.
Misdemeanor warrant
Deputies from the Athens County Sheriff’s Office met with the Perry County Sheriff’s Office to take custody of a man with a misdemeanor warrant Monday.
The man was transported to the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail without incident, according to the Athens County Sheriff’s Office.
Tuesday, Dec. 10
Unauthorized use
Deputies from the Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from The Plains to take an unauthorized motor vehicle report from a complainant Tuesday.
A few hours later, the vehicle was found and returned to the complainant, according to the Athens County Sheriff’s Office.
Drug possession
Deputies from the Athens County Sheriff’s Office arrested a woman with a felony warrant for drug possession Tuesday.
The woman was transported to the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail and will remain there until released by the court, according to the Athens County Sheriff’s Office.
Siphoning situation
Deputies from the Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Athens County Fairgrounds after receiving a report of an individual siphoning gas and causing damage to a vehicle Tuesday.
A report was taken and the case is pending investigation, according to the Athens County Sheriff’s Office.
Wednesday, Dec. 11
Back home
Deputies from the Athens County Sheriff’s Office went to Kimberly Road after receiving a report that an elderly woman with a medical condition wandered away from her home Wednesday.
Deputies received word en route stating the woman was found on her neighbor's porch. Once contact was made, the woman was taken back to her home, according to the Athens County Sheriff’s Office.
