On Monday Donte Foster signed with the New York Giants.
Former Ohio wide receiver Donte Foster signed with the New York Giants on Monday as part of a group of three other players the Giants signed from their rookie minicamp.
Coming out of Ohio, Foster signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2014. Foster was part of the Vikings’ practice squad from 2014-2015. The Vikings released Foster in September 2015.
After the Vikings released Foster, however, he could not seem to find his stride as an NFL wide receiver, playing on the respective practice squads of the San Diego Chargers and Dallas Cowboys. He was waived by both teams.

Though Foster hasn’t found a home in the NFL, he was a solid receiver at Ohio, picking up a total of 2,180 yards and 21 touchdowns for his collegiate career. In 2013, Foster also became only the second receiver in the program’s history to catch for over 1,000 receiving yards in a single season.
