Volleyball: Jaime Kosiorek going pro in Denmark

Jaime Kosiorek established herself as one of the top volleyball players to play for Ohio in her five years in Athens.

Now, her success is taking her overseas.

Kosiorek declared her intention to play professional volleyball for the Brøndby Volleyball Club in Copenhagen, Denmark, in an Instagram post Tuesday.

The Chagrin Falls native was one of the shining members of Ohio during her tenure in Athens. Kosiorek was Ohio’s all-time service ace leader with 173 aces and posted a career-high 53 aces in her final year with the Bobcats.

Kosiorek also racked up 1,380 career kills, which ranks as the fifth highest in program history.

The Brøndby Volleyball Club is a member of the Danish Volleyball Federation and often competes in season championships in the VolleyLigaen.
