A 16-year old, recently identified as missing, returned home Monday afternoon, just hours after Athens Police Department sent out a report to the public.
Athens resident Jayden Smith, left his residence Saturday, April 19, at about 5 p.m., according to a news release from the department.
Smith then contacted his mother later that day at 7:45 p.m. and told her he was going fishing. He had not been heard from since then, and was entered as a missing juvenile early Monday morning.
At about 12:45 p.m. Monday, Athens Police Chief Tom Pyle confirmed Smith was found and “returned home without incident.”
