In spite of former President Bill Clinton’s campus visit slated for Tuesday, Ohio University officials are expecting university business to carry on as usual.
Bill Clinton will campaign for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton at 11:15 a.m. at the west side of Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium, and attendees can begin lining up at about 10 a.m. near the Civil War Memorial on College Green, according to a university news release.
The university will not officially cancel classes, but students can reach out to their professors if they want to attend the event.
East Union Street, from Lincoln Hall to College Street, and University Terrace, between Park Place and East Union Street, will be closed from about 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.. No parking will be allowed on those streets, either.
OU employees will be able to park as normal and visitors are required to follow the university’s normal parking restrictions.
Buildings near College Green and all offices will remain open.
Tours for prospective students are expected to run as normal, though the routes around College Green might change slightly.
