Last time out
Ohio previously played Marshall once this season on March 16 at Bob Wren Stadium, where it won 6-3. Marshall struck first, getting an early 1-0 lead in the first inning. From there, the game was quiet until Spencer Harbert hit a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning to tie it up. Ohio had two big innings at the end of the game to defeat Marshall.
Ohio did not keep any of its pitchers on the mound for more than two innings during that game. Ohio utilized eight total pitchers against Marshall. Ohio not allowing Marshall to get too familiar with a single pitcher may have been what put a stop to its offense.
