Here are first half notes from Ohio's game at Chessa against Cleveland State.
Friday's 2-0 loss at Detroit hasn't dampened moral for Ohio, who are tied 0-0 with Cleveland State today at Chessa Field.
Through 45 minutes, the Bobcats have controlled the possession and momentum.
Coach Aaron Rodgers made a few changes in the backline for today's match. He moved Celeste Fushimi-Karns to center-back and pushed Kelly Zebrowski out to right-back. Megan Niebuhr, who sometimes plays as a center-back, advanced to her natural midfield position alongside Molly Whitacre.
Ohio came out strong and earned a corner within the first minute of the game. It didn't score from it, but it did keep that momentum throughout the half, producing several goal-scoring opportunities.
Ohio fought all the way up to the final whistle of the half after Leah Sandercock had a shot sail over the crossbar.
If the Bobcats keep up their aggressive play, we should see Ohio end its goalless streak this afternoon.
