Junior guard Kiyanna Black was named MAC East Player of the week Monday following her performances against Bowling Green and Buffalo.
Junior guard Kiyanna Black was named Mid-American Conference East Player of the week Monday following her 15-point performance in Ohio's 67-47 win against Bowling Green last Saturday.
Black went five for 14 from the field and shot 33 percent from the three-point line along with three assists and four rebounds and steals, respectively.
On Feb. 25, Black scored 26 points and grabbed six rebounds, tallied five assists and notched three steals in Ohio's 78-70 win over Buffalo.
This is the second consecutive week Black has been named MAC East Player of the week and her third this season.
Black's performances also aided the Bobcats in earning their first MAC Title since the 1994-95 season.
