The final season premiere of The Good Place proves the season is in for a wild ride.
Last season ended with Chidi (William Jackson Harper) getting his memory wiped so he could survive seeing his ex-girlfriend, Simone (Kirby Howell-Baptiste), without ruining the experiment to save humanity.
It’s extremely difficult for Cheleanor fans to stomach because Eleanor (Kristen Bell) takes the breakup really hard. However, Eleanor has bigger fish to fry than her relationship with Chidi.
Michael (Ted Danson) gets too nervous to be the architect, especially with his best friends’ impending doom if he fails. Eleanor decides to take over and is in charge of helping the four human test subjects get acclimated to the good place.
The group experiences great difficulty with Simone. Because she’s a neuroscientist, she believes there’s no way she’s in the good place and that it’s just a figment of her imagination while she is in a coma on Earth. The group believes she may be what destroys the experiment entirely.
The group also experiences difficulty with another one of the humans. However, they quickly figure out that one of the human subjects nominated by the bad place is actually a demon in disguise. The Judge (Maya Rudolph) gets mad about the act of sabotage, so she decides Chidi will be the fourth human for the experiment.
“Chidi will be the fourth subject in this experiment,” The Judge said. “He’s perfect because he’s already had his memories erased, although you can’t erase that booty.”
Eleanor is hesitant for Chidi to join the experiment but ultimately agrees because he can do the most good for the group.
Audiences are extremely sad about this being the last season of The Good Place. More so, audiences have realized that every season premiere of the show has shown Eleanor and Chidi meeting for the “first” time. Because this is the last season of the show, this is Cheleanor’s last first time meeting each other, and people are emotional.
