The Post welcomes students back for another semester.
It’s that time of year, Bobcats.
Time to dust off the cobwebs from winter break and get back into the swing of classes.
While many of you were at home, relaxing during winter break, we had reporters and photographers in Athens, providing a flow of news to keep you in the know.
Some of those updates are detailed in today’s newspaper. In case you missed it, during winter break, $44,000 was collected for those affected by the Union Street fire — $33,000 came from strictly donations; an Ohio University professor was chosen as a fellow for the National Academy of Inventors; and OU Culinary Services announced that Boyd Dining Hall will be open in time for Fall Semester.
We have also spoken with Athens law enforcement regarding what could be considered a rough year for nationwide police-community relations, caught up with the owners of new Station Street wine bar Athens Uncorked, and compiled the results of the Bobcats’ midwinter competition.
Each topic, among many others, is detailed in our newspaper today.
We hope your time away from campus was energizing and restorative. Welcome back, and remember to read The Post — your source for news on campus and in Athens.
