2nd Half

:24.4: Kent State 69, OHIO 59

Exchanging baskets does nothing in this situation. The Bobcats timeout serves one purpose only: not to completely give up.

:41.7: Kent State 67, OHIO 57

I'll give it to them, the Bobcats aren't giving up. After a made basket, they almost stole the ball, followed by an actual steal and score by Mike Laster. Only down 10 now, if that means anything.

1:50: Kent State 64, OHIO 51

The 'Cats keep swinging back and forth, but they haven't been able to make any real impactful runs at the deficit. With under two minutes, this one is almost over.

3:57: Kent State 61, OHIO 45

Most likely stat-padding time now. Two Stevie Taylor free throws and an Antonio Campbell 3-pointer helps Ohio cut the deficit to 16, but it's getting to be too late. Campbell fouled out on the next defensive possession.

5:45: Kent State 58, OHIO 38

Ohio called a timeout when Treg Setty dove on a lose ball to secure the possession.

6:35: Kent State 58, OHIO 38

Two made 3-pointers by Kent, and now its a 20-point game. It's too early to call those daggers, but it's going to be awfully tough for Ohio to get back in this game, given its shooting percentages today.

7:48: Kent State 52, OHIO 38

Ohio isn't hovering too close to that 10-point deficit anymore. KSU is starting to make its shots, and Ohio is continuing to miss its shots as well. There is enough time left, that we're getting close to the point that either the Flashes will pull away, or Ohio will get back in the game.

11:42: Kent State 39, OHIO 29

Another back-and-forth sequence from the last timeout to now. Campbell is at three fouls now, and Ndour and Willis have been sitting with two for the last minute.

15:06: Kent State 34, OHIO 24

Neither team is finishing around the rim, still. KSU started the half with the most energy, again, but Ohio has since cut its deficit to 10. A lot of passed up opportunities for the Bobcats, with forced shots around the perimeter.

1st Half

:36.7: Kent State 27, OHIO 19

Both teams missing baskets, Kent State missed about its 10th dunk of the night. 'Cats should be happy if they can hold on to only trail by single digits at halftime.

3:37: Kent State 23, OHIO 15

Bobcats just don't have any answers offensively, yet. They are now shooting 25 percent from the field and just over 30 percent from 3-point range. Big stretch coming up for Ohio before the teams head to the locker rooms for halftime.

7:30: Kent State 19, OHIO 13

Kent State is back rolling in its own gym. 10-5 run since the last timeout for the Flashes. Ohio is still looking a bit off, or rattled, especially as it just committed a shot clock violation. Bobcats will have to cover the 3-pointers better or else they may not be able to get back ahead.

11:50: Kent State 9, OHIO 8

Ohio is back in this one. It's quite a sloppy game so far, neither team has been too good at finishing at the rim. But an 8-2 run has the Bobcats back within one.

15:29: Kent State 7, OHIO 0

Not the start the Bobcats wanted, the Flashes clearly look like the more energized team so far. 'Cats yet to hit a shot, but Kent's student crowd is 100 percent in the game.
