The Athens Police Department received a rape report Friday that occurred on the east end of Athens in December.
A 21-year-old woman reported that she was raped on Dec. 6, 2019, by a known person, according to an APD report.
This is the second rape report of the Spring Semester, with the first one being reported in January.
This report is under investigation, and no more information will be released at this time, according to the report.
This is the seventh rape reported to APD this school year. The Ohio University Police Department has received four rape reports this school year.
APD has also received two sexual battery reports and one voyeurism report. OUPD has also received a public indecency report, a sexual assault report, a sexual imposition report and a report of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
