Cyclists looking to cruise onto the bike path may need to choose a different route for almost the rest of the year.
Access to the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway from Mill Street will be closed until December.
A city release Friday morning indicated that construction would shut down the path to the bikeway for the next few months, while work continues on the South Green Drive Extension Project.
Assistant service-safety director Ron Lucas said he expects cycling and foot traffic there to return to normal once the work wraps up Dec. 8.
For the time being, the city will detour foot and bike traffic onto Stimson Avenue, according to the release.
