After making 3 field goals, including the game-winner, in a 23-20 victory against Akron, Josiah Yazdani has been named the Mid-American Conference East Special Teams Player of the Week
Josiah Yazdani's foot made the difference on Saturday.
For that, he's been named the Mid-American Conference East Division's Player of the Week, the MAC announced Monday.
This marks the fourth time he's received the award and the second time this season.
Yazdani, from nearby Albany, hit three field goals on Saturday, from 42, 38 and 22 yards, respectively. The marks helped push Ohio (4-4, 2-2 MAC) to a 23-20 victory against Akron. His 22-yard field goal with 1:55 left in the fourth quarter went on to be the game-winning score.
For his work against Akron, Yazdani has also been given honorable mention for the College Football Performance Awards Specialist Performer of the Week.
Yazdani has hit 76.5 percent of his field goals he's attempted this season (13-for-17), scoring 54 total points, including 15-for-15 on PATs.
