Series History
Ohio trails in the all-time series 32-57. The last time the Bobcats and Redhawks played was on Jan. 30, when Miami rallied in the fourth quarter to steal a 67-61 win in Athens. The Bobcats have lost the last four meetings against Miami.
Players to watch
Miami’s junior guard Lauren Dickerson will be a key player in this game. In the first meeting this season, Ohio held Dickerson to seven points at halftime. Ohio was in control and looked like it’d be able to cruise to a win. That was until Dickerson led the comeback charge in the second half by adding 21 more points.
What does this game mean?
If Ohio wins, it will secure a first-round bye in the conference tournament. If it loses, Ohio could possibly fall out of the top four seeds and be forced to play a home game before getting a bid to Cleveland. A win would give Bob Boldon the record for most wins as a coach and snap a four game losing streak to the RedHawks.
