Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly’s office seized eight meth labs Friday during an operation in conjunction with the Waterloo Fire Department and Athens County Children’s Services.
Kelly executed a search warrant at 4376 W. Wilson Road in Athens, where the Sheriff’s Narcotics Enforcement Team seized “one pot” meth labs, which is when a small amount of meth is manufactured in a bottle.
Jeffrey Turner, 45, and his wife Lisa, 41, were arrested for manufacturing methamphetamines and transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
Detectives removed and placed with Children Services a 4-year-old child who was found in the residence, according to a news release from Kelly’s office.
